Mexico is full of natural beauty and history! Did you know that the world’s largest pyramid is in Mexico? It’s called the Great Pyramid of Cholula. The temple is hard to see because so much grass and brush has grown over it. It looks like a large hill with a Spanish-style church on top.

What is school like for you?

I’m at school from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We are learning about programming. I'd like to make robots someday. I'm in a robotics club with my friends and we do competitions.

What do you do for fun?

I like to play fútbol outside with my friends. I am learning to play the guitar, so I practice that a lot. I also like to draw pictures of superheroes.

What is the best trip you’ve taken in Mexico?

One time my family took a trip to El Rosario Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve. This park is about a two hour drive from Mexico City. In the winter, monarch butterflies migrate here from the USA and Canada.

We hiked a long way up a steep trail to get to the butterflies, but when we did it was worth it! Thousands and thousands of monarch butterflies clustered on oyamel trees. They do that to stay warm. When I looked up to see the butterflies flying, it looked like someone threw confetti from the sky.
